Free People Charlotte Dress // Old Navy Red Sandals
Happy Friday friends!
I apologize about the radio silence over here recently. My trip to New York was jam packed and I was so exhausted during it all that it was so hard to stay awake and blog! It was so nice to unplug for a bit though, and just enjoy time with my family on our fun vacation exploring the city. Sometimes it’s nice to have a little down time and rest.
If you haven’t already seen my Instagram or Facebook, you might have missed the big news that I announced when I got back from my trip… Part of the reason we went to New York was because honestly I had been feeling a tug on my heart for the city since I first visited it last year. I attended New York Fashion Week in the Fall of 2014 and absolutely fell head over heels in love with NYC. The hustle and bustle, the scenery, the people, the opportunities… I wanted to, (in the words of Frank Sinatra) ‘be a part of it’! So, as soon as I returned to Texas from Fashion Week last year I told myself that whatever it took I would get back to that city. I decided to dive straight in and use any resources at hand! Applying for jobs, saving saving saving, and praying for God’s direction in my life. And friends, let me tell you… Dreams do come true, and if you pray for God’s guidance and will for your life, He will direct you to where you need to be. I’m moving to New York City in two weeks!! My heart is so incredibly overjoyed at the goodness of the Lord, and in the way that He opened all of the right doors for me in His perfect timing (more on that story later). I absolutely can’t wait to start this next chapter of my life and to be doing what I love in the city of my dreams! I hope you enjoy following along on this new and exciting adventure with me!

Loved reading this ans even though I don't know you {other than from Insta} I feel so excited for you and a litrle connected to you! I too went to NYC in the fall last year, not to NYFW I fell in love with the city and so badly want to pack my bags and move now {more challenging with a husband and child to think of} but it always felt that I was a little weird that I had been there for 3 days and wanted to pick up my life to move there but the city just does it to you! Anyways so glad your dream came true and hope to be in your shoes one day! From one NYC lover to another!
