ZARA Coat & LOFT Earrings
I had a ‘New York first’ last week, and it was nothing short of cinematic. I was able to check something off of my list of things to do that I’ve been wanting to experience for as long as I can remember.
My cousin was visiting from Canada, and we both decided to get up early one morning and head straight to the Empire State Building. I have been wanting to go to the top for the longest time now, and have always wanted to see New York City this way in all of its glory. To say it was incredible would absolutely be an understatement. I was completely in awe of the city, and so overwhelmed by the beauty of NYC. I felt like I was on top of the world.
This concrete jungle that I now get to call home is unlike any city I’ve ever lived in, visited, or seen. There’s an electrifying energy in New York that draws people here, and an instant ‘head over heels’ feeling that leaves you wanting more. I’ve never felt more at home in a city before, and in the words of Tom Wolfe I think he explains this feeling in the best possible way:
“One belongs to New York instantly,
one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years.”
Here’s to you New York xoxo
