Zara Striped Denim Dress
The weather this week has been giving off that ‘feel good’ vibe, and friends it’s making this Texas girl very very happy. I’ve been strolling through my favorite neighborhoods in NYC these past few days wandering, soaking in the spring sun, and stopping at cute stoops to catch up on my current reading material.
I’ve always loved to read since I was little, and I think it played a big role in leading me to minor in journalism and ultimately starting this little blog of mine. You could always find my nose buried in some sort of book. Mysteries were always my go-to as well as literature classics like Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights. I read everything from inspirational books, to biographies, and fun fiction. Reading has always been a sweet escape for me, and a way to help my mind wander and form new ways of thinking. Which brings me to share a new book with you that I’m currently indulging in.
Cue ‘The Paris Wife’ by Paula McLain:
This book is a fictionalized account of Earnest Hemingway’s marriage to Hadley Richardson, and McLain writes from Hadley’s perspective after having researched their letters to each other, and Hemingway’s novels. I’ve only started this book, and am already addicted. Anything involving Paris & Romance is always a yes for me.
What are a few of your favorite reads, or books that you’re planning to bury your nose in this spring/summer? Tell me in the comment section below!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend! ~
