As a born California girl, it’s always been hard for me to turn down a trip to the beach. Visits to the beach will always feel a little bit nostalgic and like home to me. Even though I grew up mostly in Texas, my summers were filled with trips to California to visit family, spending time at a few of our favorite beaches like Laguna and Newport, and catching some of that summer sun. Beach days were always one of my favorite parts about growing up, and I’m so happy that I was able to enjoy those fun times with my family.
And a few weekends ago over the 4th of July holiday, one of my best girlfriends and I found ourselves with no plans that Saturday. So naturally, we decided to book a train ticket to the beach! (Floppy hats and wine in tow!) We needed to see what all the fuss was about with these East Coast beaches after all, and it definitely did not disappoint. It was such a fun day filled with drinks, girl talk, and some much needed sun bathing. I can’t wait to take another trip to the beach soon!
