I wore this dress to one of my best friend’s wedding in Dallas the other weekend.
Nathan and I drove up for a quick little weekend trip to spend time with Mary Margaret and her family, and to watch her say her ” I Do’s” to her sweet love. It was so special to be able to see her marry David. David and Mary met at the church that we were attending when we were both living in New York City together. David is originally from New Jersey, and Mary is originally from Dallas, and they are just the cutest and sweetest couple. The venue was just magical (see more here), and I cried so many happy tears. I couldn’t be happier for them, and am thrilled that they are both living in Texas! I’m so excited that they’re just a few short hours away too, and can’t wait to plan some double dates with them whenever we’re in Dallas or when they’re down in Austin.
Back to the dress…
This dress had been on my must-have list from Anthropologie for quite some time, and I couldn’t think of a better reason to finally pull the trigger. I mean… Mary’s wedding was the perfect excuse!
I’m such a sucker for fun prints, and bright colors. I instantly LOVED the tropical print, and pretty beachy shades. I paired it with one of my favorite straw hats, this pink clutch (not pictured), classic gold earrings, and my go-to nude heels. I’m definitely planning to pull this dress out for more occasions this Spring/Summer, and for date nights with my love!
