Happy Monday guys!
Nathan and I drove back from Amarillo yesterday, and after 8 hours in the car I was just exhausted when we pulled into Austin. I managed to get a little extra sleep this morning (much needed), and have been catching up on a few emails so far, plus cleaning up around the apartment.
We had the best time with our families this weekend. We arrived in Amarillo late on Friday night, and had a full day on Saturday with them. I went and had breakfast with Nathan’s parents that morning, followed by a visit to a really great estate sale! Then my mom and I drove to Canyon (the cutest little town & home of West Texas A&M – my old college!) and we did a little shopping, eating, and LOTS of catching up while my dad was at work. After that, we rushed back home and got ready for dinner with the whole gang! Nathan’s parents, his sister, and my parents and I went to a fun restaurant near our house and then we went out downtown with his sister that night. We managed to pack SO MUCH into such a short trip. A weekend with our families was just what we needed. ❤️
In other news… I need to tell you more about THIS DRESS.
I’ve been obsessing over easy and effortless linen pieces, and this shirtdress is among one of my favorite recent purchases. I’m all about comfort this Summer, and this one is just that. (Soooo comfy!)
Linen is one of the most breathable fabrics for HOT, HOT, HOT Summer days. Especially here in South, Texas!! It’s one of those fabrics that I’ll definitely need A LOT of while experiencing my first Summer here in Austin. (It’s already almost 100 degrees and we’re only in JUNE!! I’m kind of freaking out a little!) Needless to say, you’ll definitely be seeing a lot more linen around here. 😉
