Hi friends! Happy Friday!
I hope you’ve had a great week. One thing that I always love about a long holiday weekend, is that it means you don’t have to wait much longer until the next weekend arrives! Which leads me to say, that I can’t believe tomorrow is going to be Saturday again. Who else feels as though the weeks are just flying by. 🙋🏻
On another note, Nathan and I are still in the process of decorating the apartment. We want to eventually get a new couch, new dining table, new coffee table, bar stools for the kitchen, bed frame, the list just goes on and on… One thing that we have started with already though, is gathering a few pieces of art for our new home. That’s where Minted comes in!
I absolutely love Minted. They have always been a go-to company of mine for beautifully curated artwork to decorate my apartment with. I have loved their pieces for years, and even had one in my New York City studio delivered to me as soon as I moved in a few years ago.
They specialize in uncovering and discovering beautiful pieces by independent artists all over the world. What I love the most about each piece of art from Minted, is that they all come with their own unique story and background about the artist. Once your artwork arrives at your doorstep, you’ll find attached a little note card about the artist, where they are from, and some insight into the art print that you just ordered. It makes each delivery so special, as well as makes choosing your new art that much more fun!
One of my favorites that we chose, is this Composition 4 Print. I love how colorful and fun it is!
We decided to place this colorful piece in the living room, but we have since moved it from above the fireplace (to make space for a mirror!), to above a bookshelf near the dinning room. We’re also updating everything in this space soon. New couch, chairs, and pillows are in our future! ☺️

Say hi to our new cocktail station! I picked up this piece at a vintage shop here in Austin, and am in love with it! We recently re-arranged the books, and glassware so it looks a little different but we placed our new Path of Life Print on top. We thought it would be the perfect spot for it! Nathan chose this print specifically, and I’m so glad he did because I just love it. That’s the thing about art…sometimes you don’t chose the piece, it just chooses you!

This one above is my absolute FAVORITE! I wanted it to be on our vanity in the bathroom, because it seemed like the best spot for it! I love looking at it whenever I’m getting ready in the morning, or when I’m washing my face at night. It’s the perfect addition to the simple decor that we have happening in the bathroom.

Can you guess who chose this one? I wanted a little piece of New York in our bedroom, and this print instantly caught my eye. 🗽 🚕 The best part too is, the artist is located in New York City! So it’s completely and authentically NYC.
When I was living in the city and Nathan first visited, I told him how my favorite building in New York was the Chrylser Building. In my mind, the Chrysler represents ‘classic New York‘. The New York that you see in the movies. It’s timeless, beautiful, historic, and will never go out of style. I loved walking past it every day on my way to work, and am so happy that I have a little reminder of my time in Manhattan on our bedroom wall.
We created this little ‘New York Corner’, and it’s my favorite spot in our apartment. The print right beside our Chrylser Print is actually from a thrift shop in my old neighborhood (Upper East Side), and shows the exact cross streets that I lived on. It’s so special to me, and I definitely wasn’t going to leave NYC without it!
If you haven’t checked out Minted before, I totally recommend that you do! They have beautiful pieces, and are the perfect place to grab new art for your space. I’m definitely planning to add a few more prints from Minted to my growing collection soon. ☺️
