Hi friends, I hope that you’re doing well. In light of everything that’s going on, I want to remind you that the most important thing we can do right now for ourselves and for those around us is to continue to stay positive. My main goal with this blog has always been to help you see the beauty in everything around us. To savor the small moments (because those are often the big ones), to relish in the tiniest of things like a delicious home-cooked meal or a weekly flower run. I want to continue to inspire you to dive into the things that you’re most passionate about and the things that make you happy. Now, more than ever. Mental health and self-care are on the top of my mind right now, and as always I promise to help continue to uplift and inspire you in any way that I can here on LM. ❤️
To kick things off I wanted to share a few of my top tips when it comes to working from home, as I know many of you are now working from your homes too! A few of these I’ve found incredibly helpful in integrating throughout my workweek, and some are tips that I’ve recently implemented.
Work From Home Tips:
Check out a few tips for working from home below.
- Have a morning routine, rather than just jumping right in! I love starting my mornings outside of our home. Either with a walk around the block for some fresh air, a run in the park, or a rejuvenating yoga or pilates class. (Black Swan Yoga has an incredible selection of online yoga classes for only $8 a month!)
- Start your day with a calming morning meditation. I’ve found that this daily practice is so vital and necessary for jump-starting my morning on a positive note.
- Always, always, always get dressed for the day!✨
- Make a list of everything that you want to accomplish at the beginning of each day. And, check them off as you go!
- Set a schedule for your working hours and try your best to stick to them so as to not ‘overwork’.
- Plan mini-breaks in-between your workdays. Go for a walk or run a few errands to get outside for a little fresh air. Tune in to a new podcast, dive into a magazine or book, or simply close your eyes for a little while.
- Work in rooms or areas with good lighting so that you feel your happiest and best when you’re working.☀️
- Try to avoid setting up work in spaces that you like to relax. It can very quickly blur the lines and lessen your productivity.
- Have a great playlist on while you work. (I’m currently working on a few and will share them here!)
- Look into local co-working spaces and coffee shops.
- Get together with other friends that work from home and work together from a restaurant or cafe once a week. (Can’t wait to start this one back up!)
- Sprinkle in some face time video calls with co-workers to have more human interaction throughout the week.
Little Things to Look Forward To Each Week for A Routine Refresh:
Need ideas on how to shake up your routine each week? In order to keep my work weeks fresh, exciting, and fun I like including some of the following into my workweek mix.
- Try a new cafe or restaurant for lunch each Monday. (Will resume this once things settle again.💕)
- Choose a new coffee shop to work from each Friday.
- Select new morning workouts to try throughout the week to keep things exciting and interesting!
- Fill your home with fresh blooms to brighten up your space. They also serve as a great weekly pick-me-up, and they smell wonderful.☺️
Favorite Productivity Tools:
I love using tools that help me stay organized when it comes to everything that’s on my to-do list. I’m a major note tacker, planner, etc… and the tools below have been the best in keeping me on track throughout the week.
- PLANOLY: for scheduling out all of my content for my Instagram Feed, Instagram Stories, and Pinterest!
- StoriesEdit: for elevating my Instagram Stories and taking them to new heights by adding a personal, artistic touch.
- PLANOLY’s new Social Calendar: to keep track of events, holidays, and happenings throughout the month.
- My CGD London Planner: I ordered their ‘Getting Stuff Done‘ planner and their ‘On The Menu’ meal planner. (both currently sold out, but I’m sure they’ll restock soon, so keep an eye out!!)
- Evernote: to stay organized and take notes anywhere and everywhere I go!
What are your favorite ways to stay productive while WFH?

It’s so important to stay organized and same when working from home. I found taking a shower and dressing up each morning helps me feel better 💜
