WEARING: RIXO Dress
During the first half of my pregnancy, I got away with sizing up in most of my favorite brands, and I found that it usually did the trick with my growing bump. This RIXO dress was one of those pieces. RIXO has been a favorite brand of mine for as long as I can remember, and I was so happy that I was able to take some of their pieces into my pregnancy with me. From the beginning, I didn’t want to spend too much on maternity wear that I knew I wouldn’t be too excited about. Instead, my approach was to invest in a few items from some of my favorite brands that I knew I would feel more myself in, and in turn, use more over time. (Especially as the bump continued to grow!) Plus, once they no longer fit I could save them for a future pregnancy, knowing that they would be pieces I would be happy to come back to. It definitely made me feel more like me in those first few months when dressing the bump felt a little awkward, and I wasn’t quite sure what to wear. Watching my bump grow and transform over the months to come was the most magical experience. It’s amazing what our bodies can do!
