A new wedding post is here, and today I’m ‘dishing’ on our gorgeous cake.

Working with Laura D’Abate of Pip n Bits for our wedding cake was an absolute dream come true. The whole process was effortless and so incredibly easy…from the moment I reached out to her, to the minute the cake arrived at our venue, everything went flawlessly and perfectly.

I had only spent a few minutes researching bakeries in NYC, (browsing through websites that I found on Google), when I came across Laura’s. I immediately fell in love with the designs, and stunning creations coming out of this adorable Astoria bakery. I knew that I wanted something beautiful and elegant, yet also VERY delicious and I just felt that she’d be the perfect addition to our wedding day celebration. And boy was I right! Laura did such a wonderful job with creating exactly what we wanted for our special day – I simply sent her several of my inspiration images from Pinterest and she took it all from there. ✨(not that she needed my help at all! Her custom cakes are a dream.☁️)

I also ADORE what Molly from the East Olivia team created with the fresh flowers on our cake. It was absolutely breathtaking to see after we finished our dinner, and walked over to cut the cake. (It was almost too pretty to eat!!) 😍

The Cake:

We opted for a three tier semi-naked cake with fresh blooms and two different cake flavors. One tier was a lemon cake🍋 with a cream cheese frosting/filling and another tier was a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting/filling and raspberry jam in between the layers.😋(Both were absolutely delicious, but the lemon cake was my FAVORITE.)

Pip n Bits specializes in cakes for every occasion. From weddings and showers, to birthdays and so much more. If you’re in the New York area and are looking for a new bakery to call home I couldn’t recommend Laura enough. She is so gifted at what she does, and we were over the moon with what she sent over for our big day. Thank you Laura for being a part of our special celebration!
