We’re moving!
Nathan and I are moving to a new apartment in Austin a week from today, and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ll be leaving South Congress and heading to Sunset Valley for the next 8 months. (We’re currently making plans for exciting things in the new year, and I absolutely CAN’T WAIT to share more about all of it with you soon!) On another note, I’m really looking forward to a little change of pace. We’ve loved being in the hustle and bustle of South Congress, but are both ready for some down time in the burbs. I can’t wait to be closer to family, our favorite markets and shops, and have easier access to the some of the walking and running trails here in Austin along with the Greenbelt!
With the move being right around the corner (we’ve already started packing!), I can’t help but reflect on how special this first place has been for Nathan and I. We found it after several weekends of apartment hunting, and finally hit a home run. We knew as soon as we toured the model that we wanted to call it our first ‘home’. (I remember loving the fireplace so much when we moved in. Even though we honestly have never used it once all year! It’s been great for photo shoots though!)
This little apartment on South Congress has been home to use for the past year. And to be honest, it’s actually felt as though we’ve been here much, much longer. Whenever we first moved in, we were SO EXCITED and we unpacked so quickly because we wanted it to feel like home ASAP. And…that’s exactly what it has felt like over the past 12 months. It’s where we first lived together as a couple, where we came back to after we got engaged, where we came back to after we got married in May, and has been the sweetest space for us as newlyweds for the past 2 months. We’ve made so many wonderful memories here, dreamed so many dreams here, made big plans here, have grown as a couple here, brushed up on our cooking skills here, and have hosted several friends and family for dinners, drinks, movie nights, game nights…you name it! I’m really going to miss this sweet little space, but can’t wait to make more memories in our new place together.💕
