WEARING: Madewell White Tee | BB Dakota Gingham Skirt | Jeffrey Campbell Raffia Sandals | BaubleBar Raffia Drop Earrings
Another day, another round of Wedding Week Looks! Today, I’m sharing a look from our time in NYC during our wedding week that I wore while wandering through my very favorite neighborhood – the West Village. I LOVE this gingham skirt, and am so happy that I ordered it before our trip! I’ve been wearing it so much since it arrived at our doorstep. (P.S. – it’s now on SALE!) Shop it before it’s gone. 🙌🏻
Lately, I’ve really been trying to be more mindful of the purchases that I’m making. (Both in my closet and in our home!) When it comes to items for my closet, I want to strategically curate a wardrobe that’s full of pieces that I love but that I can also mix and match with other well-loved items that I already own. The best part about curating a wardrobe that you truly love is including pieces that you know you’ll get plenty of use out of. Gone are the days of fast fashion and now is the time for quality investment pieces that are sure to last you longer than just a few wears.
For Example:
I’m planning to transition this skirt above into fall by pairing it with a comfy knit sweater, and a great pair of boots. That way it gives my summer skirt a longer shelf life because I can still pair it with my fall favorites!
What are some of your favorite ways to transition your summer pieces into fall?
On another note…
So much has been happening over here recently. (Both work and play of course!!) For starters, Nathan and I had a few friends stay with us from out of town the other weekend, I just got back from Create & Cultivate in San Francisco last weekend, we’re going to LA🌴 in one week for Nate’s birthday, and then I’ll be traveling back to New York next month for work! (I can’t wait to be in my favorite city again, even if it’s only for a little while.)
Even though life has been a little busy and crazy lately, I wouldn’t have it any other way!! I love having a full schedule, and have always been the type of person that loves staying busy. I’m even always trying to find fun things for Nathan and I to do both in and outside of Austin! While I do really love the nights and weekends were we stay at home, I also love exploring, staying active, and getting out and about around our city. I definitely get this from my dad haha! We both have always loved finding things to do. 😀
What about you? Are you more of a homebody, or do you love staying busy?
