Every time that I leave the city, whether it’s for the weekend, a few hours, or for the day, I always am so excited to return to my little Upper East Side studio. After having explored so many other neighborhoods in the city, I’m so happy to have my own little spot uptown. Perfectly tucked away from the city chaos, and close to some of my best girl friends and favorite restaurants. (Not to mention, the shopping, bakeries, and museums on this side of the city are pretty amazing.)
Below, I’m listing 10 of my favorite things about being an Upper East Sider. The list could go on and on, but I thought I’d narrow it down to some of the best ones!
Top 10 best reasons to being an Upper East Sider:
1.) Easy access to great parks like Carl Schurz Park & Central Park
2.) Being within walking distance of Laduree
3.) Running paths along the East River
4.) Quaint coffee shops to work from: (ex.- Cafe Jax & Bluestone Lane)
5.) Having the Guggenheim Museum & The Met as neighbors
6.) Living in the same neighborhood as Miss Holly Golightly (+ daydreaming on her stoop)
7.) So many movies and t.v. shows are filmed in the area, and it’s so fun to watch
8.) Lots and lots of cute doggies
9.) The best window shopping around (Madison Avenue has my heart)
10.) Glamorous street style that makes for constant style inspiration
If you’re planning a trip to NYC or looking to move into the city, I highly recommend spending a little time on the Upper East Side.
You may never want to leave!
