THE CROPPED TOP: HOW TO MAKE IT WORK
Okay friends, today we’re going to be talking about cropped tops. Cropped tops are the one piece in my closet that I didn’t really used to own much of, simply because I wasn’t sure how to wear them! Call me old fashioned too, but I’ve never really been one to want to show my midriff off. At least not in a big way!
I have found over the years though, that there are tasteful and classic ways to wear a cropped top for those of us gals that are a little more leery to the ever present trend. And, with this Austin heat… I’m ready to make an exception when it comes to showing a little more skin than I’m typically used to!

THREE WAYS TO STYLE A CROPPED TOP:
When it comes right down to it, there are 3 favorite ways that I’ve gravitated towards when I’m styling cropped tops to ensure that the look resinates more of a classic, feminine feel.
- WITH A MATCHING SET – I love matching it with it’s mate – typically a matching skirt or pant.
- HIGH-WAISTED SKIRTS OR PANTS – I’m a HUGE FAN of pairing cropped tops with high-waisted skirts or pants – especially in fun colors or prints that contrast the top!
- OVER A SHEER JUMPSUIT OR DRESS – And, I LOVE throwing a cropped top over a sheer jumpsuit or strappy dress.
